Howling, the vocals-heavy house project of RY X from The Acid and Âme‘s Frank Wiedemann, is to drop its debut LP in May as a joint release on Modeselektor’sMonkeytown imprint and the Ninja Tune sub-label Counter. Ahead of that the pair (pictured above) have shared with us the premiere stream of a remix of album track “Stole The Night” by Wiedemann and Kristian Beyer’s own long-standing Âme project. Their rework, a typically airy and propulsive take on the low-slung, bass-heavy original, can be heard on the player below, while the album will be released on May 1 and can be pre-ordered here.

T.Williams Debuts Final Track ‘Not Leaving’ Off Forthcoming EP

b67f5d60-c3db-46ce-bd80-a89920bba43b
UK house luminary T.Williams today has released the final track off his new EP Acoustic Treatment. The debut release on T.Williams’ own recently launched Today, Tomorrow imprint showcases his unique sound of UK house, influenced by his roots in classic garage and grime. Acoustic Treatment is now available to download on iTunes.

T’s new tune, ‘Not Leaving’, features the robust vocal stylings of previous collaborator Himal. Melodic vocals permeate throughout, commanding a sultry vibe perfectly suited for the downtempo track. A deep, acid-tinged bass line, paired with a soulful stringed backing, lends to a sprawling portrayal of T.Williams’s effortless range.

The newly formed imprint Today, Tomorrow aims to seek out innovation and new movements, bridging and bending sounds and genres. T’s constant search for new sounds, and digging through old vinyl bins, have seen his UK grime origins, morph towards house. It is this collision of roots that has been the catalyst for T’s genre defying success, and at a time when the worlds of urban and electronic music swirl ever closer, T and his label are primed to deliver an organic point of intersection.

This release comes on the heels of T’s newly announced North American tour with Shadow Child touching down at Chicago’s Spy Bar, Toronto’s Hoxton, San Diego’s Bang Bang, San Francisco’s Audio, and Los Angeles’s Lot 613 May 8-16.
